The college has a 4 years-based Degree program in Mid-wifery education and offer a BSC degree. Student admission is based on Ministry of Education's National pass mark to join the universities. All students sign an agree-ment with the regional Health bureaus before they join the college. This agreement clearly mention that they will go back and serve their respective communities after completion of their education and save live.
The college follows the National Midwifery education curriculum. The girls are not only taught formal education but are also empowered to become confident leaders in their communities and mobilise their peers to fight harmful traditional practices such as early marriage, female genital cutting, home delivery and bad nutrition. The college graduated 5 batches of students until to date. Based on the National License sure exam the college is graded 2nd in the country. LeDeG was accredited by HERQA currently named as Education and Training Authority (ETA). The college is currently training 115 sponsored students coining from all over the country.
